Resource management and environmental

Resource management decisions shape how communities grow, how the environment is protected, and how land and resources are used across Aotearoa.  Councils sit at the heart of this system; balancing local priorities with complex legal frameworks and national direction.  As the law continues to evolve, the need for clear, future-focused advice has never been greater.

We act for councils on the full spectrum of resource management matters under the Resource Management Act 1991, including district and regional plan reviews, consenting, appeals, and enforcement.  Our work spans national policy statements, coastal issues, heritage protection, contaminated land, and emergency powers.

We also carry specialist expertise in natural hazards and climate change law, a growing area that demands focused legal support.
