Prior to joining Rice Speir in 2023, Maria worked in legal services at Inland Revenue, where she gained a wealth of experience in insolvency work, particularly company liquidation proceedings in the High Court.  Maria’s considered approach and keen eye for detail helps to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Throughout her school and university life, Maria has demonstrated leadership having taken on executive roles in several Pacific associations and projects.  This included a short stint volunteering at the South Auckland Community Law Centre and running mooting workshops for Pasifika high school students.  On top of assisting our clients, Maria runs monthly Te Ao Maori lessons and Pacific Language Weeks at Rice Speir.
