Tim has focused his career on acting for and advising local authorities, appearing before Hearing Panels and at all levels of the Court system. He has particular expertise in plan changes and full plan reviews across the full range of resource management issues, including urban growth and intensification, natural hazards, freshwater, natural values, discharge and coastal issues.
Beyond planning and environmental law, Tim advises on public law and the broader legislative framework impacting local government. His work spans a wide range of matters, such as governance and decision-making, alcohol policy and regulation, information law and judicial review.
